About Me

From journalism to entrepreneurship to corporate marketing, my career has always been driven by the power of a great story.

Today, as a freelance developmental editor, I bring that diverse background into my work with you. As an avid reader across romance, fantasy, and women's fiction, I use that market insight to help you polish your manuscript, always ensuring your authentic voice remains front and center.

Professional Background

  • Certified Developmental Editor: A graduate of the Editorial Arts Academy (EAA) program. My training was entirely hands-on, working directly on a real author’s manuscript under the mentorship of a seasoned industry editor.

  • BA in Journalism, Minor in Literature: My news background taught me how to look at a story with a critical eye. I excel at stripping away the fluff, identifying structural problems, and finding clear, actionable solutions to tighten your narrative.

  • Entrepreneurship Experience: As a business founder, I spent years crafting pitches for buyers, grants, and investors. This taught me how to take a big concept and reshape it for different audiences; a skill I use to help you find the strongest way to tell your story.

  • Marketing Background: Keen insight into target audiences, reader engagement, and positioning. I bring a commercial eye to your manuscript to ensure it resonates with your ideal readers and stands out in a crowded market.
